Maybe I’m biased, but is there anything better than a Carolina wedding? Both my husband and I went to UNC and met in Chapel Hill, so it holds an incredibly special place in my heart. Today’s couple had a gorgeous fairytale affair in Raleigh with classic details, gold accents, and of course a lot of Carolina blue. Alex and Devyn met at UNC and when they got engaged Devyn knew that the North Ridge Country Club would be the place to have the wedding of their dreams. In fact, since Devyn’s aunt is a member of the club she remembers as a child thinking, “When I grow up and get married, I want it to be here in this ballroom.” With beautiful southern charm and classic details, it’s easy to see why it was a dream location for them. Alex and Devyn were such a pleasure to work with: their love for each other really shined through on this happy day. Everyone was overjoyed on this gorgeous summer day. Alex started medical school this year and the wedding was a great opportunity to celebrate with friends before embarking with Devyn on their new journey. The ceremony was held in All Saints Chapel at St. David’s School and had classic southern charm. It was such a beautiful day filled with love, and is Devyn’s sweet junior bridesmaid not irresistible? Seriously, she stole the show. Alex and Devyn are such a loving couple, and their wedding was classic and timeless, from the hydrangea bouquets to the simple strand of pearls Devyn wore – a family heirloom. Congrats, you two! I’m glad to have been part of such a joyful celebration!
Lastly, a big thanks to my friend Caroline Lima for helping me shoot this one. Always good to have you with me! Thank you for your beautiful work.
