Happy Monday! Today I bring you images of the happiest child alive…literally. I’ve never photographed a little girl with more light, love and sheer joy than sweet Zoe. I love these images of this family of three so much, and I’m excited to share some of my favorites with you all!
Dave and Catie were married in early November in a place they hold dear – Ocean Isle Beach. It was a perfect sunny day with just the right amount of sunshine and warmth. Dave and Catie exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony at a sweet little church by the shore and then continued their celebration at Brick Landing Plantation, a beautiful golf club situated on the sound. The water was still that evening and we caught the very last bits of sunlight for some of my favorite portraits. Dave and Catie danced and danced with their guests to the sounds of the New South Players and truly had a blast. These two never stopped smiling and taking it all in. I’m so excited for Dave and Catie as they start their married life together, and I wish them both all the best! Below are some of my favorites from their day.
Big thanks to my pal Graham Terhune for helping me capture this one! You are the best, my friend!
Happy Monday! I’m sharing another fun family session from this Fall today. The Gwennap family were a joy to photograph – so adorable, and they really just had a blast in front of the camera. The Gwennaps wanted to shoot on the UNC campus where they met, as well as in front of that amazing Chapel Hill mural which left me thinking – why do I not shoot here all the time? It was the perfect spot for this crew and one I’ll continue to use. So bright and fun! Here are some of my favorites from this family’s session.
I became an aunt for the second time this past Fall. My sister and her husband welcomed another baby Girl, Evelyn, to their family on September 29th, 2014. I was lucky enough to be able to make it in town in time to capture this new family of four in the hospital shortly after Evelyn’s arrival and then as they brought her home a couple days later. One of my favorite moments was watching their oldest daughter’s joy as she held her little sister for the first time and embraced being a big sister. Such a sweet moment! Here are some of my favorites from my time spent with these four that I love so much!
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful couple last Fall in one of my favorite cities – Wilmington, NC. This place is special to me for a few reasons – Amir and I got married here, and of course it’s the home of my beloved Trolley Stop Hot Dogs – but, it also just has SO much to work with. I love shooting downtown – every block offers something new – so much color and vibrancy. I just adore it! Suz and Dan tied the knot at St. Thomas Preservation hall, right in the heart of Downtown Wilmington. Their sweet ceremony was followed by a beautiful evening of dancing under the lights. I loved Suz’s BHLDN capelet so much, and the fall florals were just perfect (loved that cotton!). Suz and Dan, who are so clearly in love and made for each other, were such a blast to work with. It’s such an honor to be able to do what I do for people like Suz and Dan. Congratulations, you two! Here are some of my favorite moments from their day.
