Happy New Year! I’m going back over my holiday family sessions today, and I wanted to share another favorite with you all! The Terhunes are dear friends, and it was such an honor to be able to spend some time with these three for a quick session. It was FREEZING outside on this fall day, and these three were total troopers – bundled up and cuddled up, the cutest! I love being able to capture this beautiful family as their little one grows (like a weed might I add!), and I’m excited to share some of my favorite images below. Thanks again, Terhunes!
I just have to share this fun family session from this Fall. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this sweet family for a few years now. Every year, Cassie blows me away with the fun ideas she has for her family’s photos. This year she penned these adorable backdrops – full of the kids’ favorite things and memorable moments from this year. Aren’t they amazing? She is just so creative and talented and the whole clan is always such a joy to photography! Here are some of my favorites!
I met Phuong and Hang in downtown Durham on one of the coldest mornings so far this winter. It was 21 degrees when we started!! Eeeek! Phuong and Hang powered through the cold and didn’t let it shake them at all. They laughed, hugged, snuggled up tight to stay warm and shared a little bit of their bond with me. Once we got to Duke Gardens, Hang and Phuong’s fur babies joined us – Zoey and Mason. I LOVE including pups in engagement sessions – aren’t they the cutest? Thanks for letting me capture you guys during this special time, Phuong and Hang! Here are some of my favorites images from their sweet session.
Emery and Chris were married on Saturday in what was one of my most favorite weddings captured to date. Cannot wait to share more from their special night at the NC Executive Mansion! Until then, I’m excited to share some of my favorites from Emery’s Carolina Inn bridal session. Emery was a stunning bride and all of the pieces of her look were just perfection – her long blonde hair pulled into the most elegant do, her effortless beauty and the most amazing Carolina Herrera dress you’ve ever seen. Emery you’re a beautiful bride, and I’m so honored to have been able to capture these images for you!
Sean and Brooks were married in November in Greenbsoro. It was a FRIGID day, complete with ridiculously high winds. These girls held it together for me for some beautiful portraits even as their beautiful long dresses threatened to fly away. I so love that long dresses have made their way back into weddings as a staple – so beautiful blowing in the wind. Brooks and Sean’s Phillips Chapel at Canterbury ceremony was just beautiful, and the bagpiper that led Brooks down the aisle had just about everyone in tears. We grabbed the little bit of daylight that was barely still with us after the ceremony for some quick portraits and then headed over to the Greensboro Country Club for a killer reception. Brooks and Sean incorporated some important family traditions in their reception, including an epic second line around the property (Sean is from Louisiana). Sean and Brooks had a blast at their wedding and capturing their nuptials was a true honor. I’m excited to share my favorite moments here!
Thank you, Caroline Lima, for helping me capture this wedding so beautifully. You are so talented and a joy to work with!
