Shelter Pups :: Mobius and Pooh Bear

I’ve got another round of cuteness for you this week. I had the awesome opportunity to go back to the Orange County Animal Shelter yesterday and photograph these adorable pups that would love to inhabit with you in your home! These two were very sweet, but very different. Here are some of my favorite shots…

Pooh Bear

Pooh Bear. His name says it all! Although, I think he’s a little more like Eeyore if you ask me. This sweet guy was excited to see me when I popped in his room to get acquainted and take some photos. He’s a slow mover that seems like he’d be a great couch buddy. His wrinkles cascade down his sweet body and it’s just to die for. I cannot help myself when he looks up at me with those big droopy wrinkles almost covering his eyes! Pooh Bear had a lot of love to give with lots of kisses and just simply wanting to be near me!

Mobius

Mobius has a lot of faces and a lot of personality. He was so excited when I came to meet him he could barely stand it. When he wasn’t reaching to lick me or sniff me, he was sitting on my feet or leaning in to me just to be sure I wouldn’t take off, or maybe he just wanted to be close to me. Mobius wears his heart on his sleeve – or on his face! He shows so much emotion and personality! I love it.  Mobius was a kind and gentle pup and would be an excellent buddy. He seems like he’s got a lot of love to give and just wants to go home with someone who will play with me, run with him, be silly with him, throw his ball (he LOVES his ball) and just love on him.

I also found sweet Penny gazing out the window while I was there. How sweet is this?

And…this little guy has found a home, but he was too cute to pass by. Hooray for the family that gets to take him home.

If you’re interested in these pups and would be a responsible pet owner, go check these guys out! And, don’t forget it’s Dog Adoption Month and these guys are on special for just $60!

Jeanette & Martin :: Texas Wedding Photographer

Love, love, love. These two are so in love. It’s so beautiful to see two people so unbelievably psyched to be marrying each other. Martin & Jeanette’s Houston wedding was an evening full of love with a capital L. Martin & Jeanette both live and work in Houston, and although they are from NC and Switzerland (respectively), they decided to tie the knot on common ground in the city where they met. Family flew in from all over the world…literally…to help these two celebrate their love. The Texas Asia Society was a beautiful venue filled with lots of natural light and organic materials which was important to Martin & Jeanette who are both geologists. Even the floral carried their organic theme, focusing on greens and earth tones – those arrangements were stunning! These two threw a great party for their friends and family and they danced their pants off to the sound of Eclipse Band who tore it up on stage! Here are some of my favorite moments from their day.

What a beautiful night – thanks Martin & Jeanette!

Last, but not least, I wanted to share some photos from Martin & Jeanette’s rehearsal dinner. We brought our photo booth, The Cheese, out to be a part of their laid back evening. These guys rocked it!

National Dog Adoption Month :: Adoptable Dogs in Orange County, NC!

I am starting a new relationship with Orange County Animal Services that will allow me to head over to the shelter once a week and photograph an adoptable animal to share with you! This month is extra special because it’s Dog Adoption Month which means we’ve got lots to share with you. AND, all month long OCAS is offering all adult dogs and select puppies for only $60! The five below dogs were photographed last week. Some of them are not still available but a couple are! Check out more info about OCAS here and head over to meet these sweet, adoptable pups this month.

Tuva

There’s just something about a Huskie, with those piercing blue eyes, that always grabs me. I assume these dogs are kind, gentle and wise. Luckily in Tuva’s case, she is all these things. Tuva turned it on for the camera the best out of all of these pups and it shows. Tuva has a gentle demeanor, she listens well, and she loves to be outdoors, playing in the grass. Tuva is still available to a responsible future doggie owner.

Lucy

Lucy is a looker. She caught my eye the second I entered Orange County Animal Service’s dog area. If you haven’t visited this facility, you will be blown away when you do. The gorgeous building is a haven for lost and abandoned pups, and we’re lucky to have a place like this to house the little sugars while they’re working their charm on visitors in an effort to be taken home and snuggled. But, like I said, Lucy is a looker. Those spots, those eyes, those floppy ears – she’s got the whole package. UPDATE: Lucy has been adopted since these photos were taken. Wahoo!

Polka Dots

The trusted side kick, man’s best friend…the black lab. Polka Dots is full of energy, as most labs are. More than anything we just wants to lick you with that giant tongue and give you some slobber love. He has a great demeanor and is very friendly. He likes to be loved on and would make a great running buddy. UPDATE: Polka Dots has been adopted since these photos were taken. Yay!

Mina

Sweet, sweet Mina. Mina is a gentle puppy that’s a little timid with strangers. Although she is not aggressive, she tends to shy away from new people, tucking that adorable tail under her and turning her ears back. I think it adds to her charm, and with a little love and socializing she’d be a great addition to any home. Apart from being timid, she has a lovely demeanor and got along great with other dogs. Mina is still available, so go check her out! She needs a good home and someone who can bring her out of her shell.

Dusky

Dusky wants to explore. His bushy tail and his perky ears were full of energy and on the move when he got to run around outside the shelter with us. Like these other guys, Dusky had a great demeanor. He enjoyed being loved on and spending time with us, and he loved being out in the fresh air to take in all the sights and sounds. UPDATE: Dusky has been adopted since these photos were taken. Yippee!

Cassidy & Garrison :: Wilmington, North Carolina Wedding Photographer

So, I’ve been having a lot of issues with my site lately, so hopefully this post will make it up and you’ll all be able to enjoy this sweet Wilmington wedding. Cassidy and Garrison’s beautiful Wilmington, NC was an easy going evening full of love, laughter and lots of dancing (do I say that every time? I think it’s because my couples are always so sweet and fun and throw killer parties:))! Garrison is from Wilmington, and Cassidy spent every summer there growing up, so it was a natural choice for the pair when choosing a location. The Carolina Yacht Club completely fit their laid back style with a screened in porch for their dining area, a lovely ballroom to dance the night away and that delicious salty air breezing in from the ocean which was just steps away. For decor, Cassidy and Garrison kept it simple with white linens and yellow + white flowers in those fun teal Ball jars that we all adore. And, the night couldn’t have been complete without the delicious southern fare – the shrimp and grits were to die for!

Lauren’s Bridal Portraits :: Fort Worth, TX

Isn’t she beautiful?! Lauren is one of those brides that loves being girly and felt just right in her drop dead gorgeous lace gown and veil. Everything fit her like a glove, and she was a stunning bride for this lovely Fort Worth bridal session. Her joy and her incredible beauty shone through in all of these images and it just makes me smile! For Lauren’s bridal session we spent some time at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens and at The City Club of Fort Worth where Lauren and Brett tied the knot in June. More to come from Lauren and Brett’s big day!
